A safe collection workflow
Give each item or group a reference number before moving anything. Photograph that reference beside the item, then capture hallmarks, boxes, certificates, damage and family notes. Keep the inventory outside the parcel.
The inventory builder works locally in the browser and exports CSV. It does not automatically upload estate details, photographs or private family notes to Fair Vintage.
When to speak before posting
Discuss the collection first if it includes high-value watches, significant diamond jewellery, large gold lots, fragile objects, disputed estate items or categories that may need a different selling route.
Where business facts still need confirmation, this page avoids absolute promises about collection availability, return timing, exact insurance limits or high-value exceptions.
