All professional and classic references assessed by specialist. Vintage and modern examples welcomed.
A Rolex Submariner Ref. 5513 with a matte dial and original unpolished case is worth far more than the same reference with a later glossy dial or a polished case. An "exotic" Daytona dial — now known as a Paul Newman — can be worth ten times a standard dial on the same case.
This is why generalist buyers — and even some general jewellers who handle watches — consistently undervalue Rolex collections. The value is in the details of each reference. Our specialists know these details and assess accordingly.
Do not polish the cases. Do not have the watches serviced. Do not replace straps or bracelets. Original condition — even if worn — is consistently worth more than restored condition to the collector market. Let our specialists assess the pieces as they are.
Yes. We buy Rolex collections of any size — from 2 watches to 50+. Every reference is assessed individually by our horological specialists. You receive a written valuation per watch explaining what we are offering and why, based on current secondary market prices.
All Rolex references: Submariner (ref. 5513, 1680, 16610, 116610), GMT-Master and GMT-Master II, Datejust, Day-Date, Daytona (ref. 6239, 6241, 6263, 16520, 116500), Explorer, Milgauss, Sea-Dweller, Oyster Perpetual, Air-King, Cellini, and vintage dress watches. We assess all eras from 1930s pieces to modern pre-owned.
Yes — but not always in the direction you might expect. An unpolished Rolex with original case finishing showing honest wear is typically worth significantly more than a polished example of the same reference. Non-working Rolex watches still have value and are assessed on their individual merits.
For collections containing high-value Rolex watches, contact us before posting. We will arrange appropriate insurance coverage, advise on packaging, and in some cases arrange secure collection. Every parcel is opened live on YouTube so condition is recorded on camera before any offer is made.
Before we examine your Rolex collection in person, a set of clear photographs and basic information significantly speeds up the preliminary estimate and often allows us to provide a more accurate range before your parcel arrives.
For each watch, photograph the dial, the caseback (particularly engraved reference and serial numbers), any original bracelet, and the movement through the caseback if possible. Note the reference number stamped between the lugs at 12 o'clock (visible when the bracelet is removed) and the serial number between the lugs at 6 o'clock. These two numbers allow us to identify the model and approximate production year with certainty.
If you have the original box, papers, swing tags, or guarantee documents, keep these with the watch. For Rolex, original box and papers ("full set") adds meaningfully to value — the extent depends on the reference. A Daytona or a Submariner in full set commands a premium of 20–40% over the same watch without documentation, particularly for modern references.
Never attempt to clean, polish, or restore a Rolex dial before sending it to us. Original "tropical" dials — where the lacquer has patinated to brown or chocolate — are among the most sought-after conditions for certain references. Cleaning destroys what collectors call the honest patina and significantly reduces value. Send pieces exactly as they are.
When a Rolex collection arrives with us, each watch is handed to a specialist independently of the others. The assessor opens the caseback, confirms the movement calibre and serial number against the case reference, checks the dial and hands for originality, notes case condition and whether the lugs show evidence of polishing, and assesses the bracelet — clasp type, stretch, and whether the bracelet is period-correct for the reference.
All of this is done on camera during the live YouTube broadcast. You receive the parcel code and broadcast time in advance so you can watch. Every detail noted in the written valuation is therefore verifiable on video — there is no ambiguity about what condition each piece was in when it arrived.
You can accept our offer on all pieces, some pieces, or none. Anything you decline is returned free of charge. There is no obligation at any stage.
